Founded at the University of Florida in 2008

To Inspire, To Create, To Give Back, and To Uplift.

How it started

A student idea that became a lasting institution

Project Makeover was founded in 2008 by a few innovative, passionate students at the University of Florida whose mission was to create a more dynamic learning environment for elementary school students.

Today, our mission is to continue to provide this platform for community members and students by working with elementary schools in need to "makeover" their campuses, be it one mural, garden, or outdoor classroom at a time.

Every year since

One school. One weekend. Over 1,000 volunteers.

Interactive murals, landscaping, and a Dream Project requested by the school itself, all brought to life in a single weekend.
